Terrazzo is made from the chips of marble and stone, bound with cement, coloured with natural oxides and blended with water. It is a production process
untouched for centuries and our terrazzo collection, produced in Italy, follows the same techniques. Once very much a product of the poor, terrazzo
originated in 16th century Italy as a way to reuse stone offcuts.Today, with significant improvements to production and sealing the tiles,
terrazzo is once again proving to be a popular flooring choice, with its ability to give any room an artisanal touch. Extremely hard-wearing, and easy
to maintain, it also retains heat effectively making it a great choice for underfloor heating. The plain colour options are endless and with numerous
border and edging choices, the final floor can be overwhelmingly decorative and beautiful.
