New for spring 2021, our Urban Stone Effect Tile Range is a collection of stone-effect porcelain tiles which can be laid on walls and floors, inside and outdoors, and seamlessly between the two. The new collection includes two finishes – a smooth honed tile and a textured tile – and each is offered in varying sizes and a choice of four shades – White, Rope, Grey and Black. In total, there are 44 different tile options, in rectangular and square formats, from 300x600mm to 1200x1200mm.
Urban combines a contemporary surface finish with an authentic stone-effect and a host of practical features. Inside and outdoors, the tile is exceptionally hardwearing – resisting stains, scratches, moisture and frost. For areas where good grip is important – like family kitchens and patios, as well as bathrooms and boot rooms – we recommend the textured non-slip finish.
“Porcelain tiles have always been popular indoors but the new breed of textured stone-effects makes them a great option for paths, patios and pool surrounds too. If you’re laying onto a concrete base, a 10mm tile will be suitable. Otherwise, we recommend the 20mm Urban tile for outdoor installations,” explained Joss Thomas, Indigenous’ Founder & Designer.
On tile size, Joss added, “Just like indoors, larger pavers are ideal for creating a smart, contemporary look outdoors. There are also fewer grout lines for weeds and moss to gather. If you want to achieve a more traditional random look, combine large and small tiles; larger stones can be strategically placed in high traffic areas and used to create a natural flow towards an entrance.”
Other designs suitable for installation inside and outside include Indigenous’ Tumbled stone-effect porcelain, offered in Beige, Light Grey and Dark Grey, in random pattern and rectangular formats.
