A vanity unit is a fabulous way of furnishing a bathroom; adding style, texture and a contrast to hard ceramic and tiled surfaces. Our two new designs – the Tree Trunk Pedestal and the Oak Vanity – offer two very different wood options for an unfettered natural or more modern rustic look.
The new Tree Trunk Pedestal is made from salvaged Longan wood, from a tree that bears lychees. The trees are replaced when they no longer produce fruit and the waste wood is handcrafted. Each trunk section stands around 750mm tall and is 500mm wide. The back of the trunk is carved out to hide plumbing and the top surface is planed. The stand creates a fabulous contrast to a stone counter top basin, like our new Organic Marble design. The range also includes a Tree Trunk Pedestal Basin, which have a brass basin set into the top of the trunk.
The new Oak Vanity creates a very different natural look, with simple, elegant lines. Handmade in the UK with sustainable English Oak, the vanity has a bench-like design, with flared legs and an open shelf for storage. It’s offered in a single and double format measuring 750mm or 1400mm wide, and bespoke designs are also available. The oak is treated with a natural matt sealer to protect it from water and stains.
