New plates and platters for brunching, lunching and sharing
Reflecting the casual dining trend, our Accessories Range now includes a collection of platters, handmade from Teak Root and Petrified Wood, in a variety
of designs – from bread server to flat rustic board.
The Teak Root designs are carved from salvaged fallen timber. Each piece is unique and
its design is steered by the root’s individual shape and flow. Petrified Wood,
sometimes described as “wood turned into stone” is created when wood is buried underground and starved of oxygen; these handmade pieces have bark edges
combined with a completely smooth and non-porous stone-like surface, so there are practical benefits too.
“Rustic Teak Root platters and plates bring a real organic feel to the table, ideal for breads, cheeses and grapes. The Petrified Wood designs also have
tonnes of natural appeal and are non-porous too; great for wetter foods, like olives, as they can be wiped clean,” explained Indigenous’ Clare Thomas.
Other Teak Root and Petrified Wood accessories include plates, chopping boards and rustic carvings, as well as interior pieces like lamps, mirrors and
stools, and a striking collection of furniture.
