New Nagara pendant sets a rustic rhythm
Our new Nagara Metal Pendant Light has a distinct urban vibe. It’s made from an original beaten Nagara metal drum, used for traditional marriages and festivals,
and it hangs from a single metal chain.
Nagara or Naghara drums date back to the middle ages and are mostly used to perform Punjabi and Rajasthani folk music. The pendant is a mottled tan shade,
a neat conical shape and it has a worn, studded exterior. Original paint chip marks add to its up-cycled appeal, creating a rustic, organic, industrial
mix that works in a variety of settings.
Nagara can be hung as
a single pendant or in groups. Each lamp has a chain length ofapprox. 500mm and the gold braided cable length is approx. 1000mm. The bayonet lamp fitting has a maximum wattage of 60W and the drum measures approx. 450mm in diametre and 300mm in height.
