Two new marble designs have joined our tableware range this month. The new chopping boards and plates are offered in Carrara – a white stone with grey veining – and Nero, which is jet black with white veining. Both designs are an elegant addition to the kitchen – but also bring practical benefits for keen cooks.
Being smooth, hard and non-porous, marble is hygienic, hardwearing and easy to clean. It’s also naturally non-stick and cool to the touch, so marble chopping boards are ideal surfaces for making pastries and dough, and tempering chocolate. Marble plates – and chopping boards – also make fabulous servers for cheese, appetizers and sushi. They can be chilled in the fridge to keep food cool or gently warmed in the oven to keep breads warm.
Indigenous’ new Chopping Boards measures 200 x 330 x 10mm, and the Marble Plates measure 210 x 200 x 15mm. With proper care, marble will last a lifetime. Wash with warm water and a sponge; avoid harsh cleaning chemicals. Be aware that marble is very hard and it can blunt knifes, and wipe up spills straight away.Back to News
